Congratulations! You found the one.

In our last post, we talked about the importance of finding the right platform for your business.

This boils down to the audience and how you're going to be able to reach them.
If you didn't read that - it might be helpful.
Let me dig it up.
Finding the right platform

So, now what?

I love to Google, "tutorials." I can learn a lot just by browsing the web.

Great! Congrats on coming to the next step.

So now you have an account with no content. Let's fix that.

A good trick for me to frame up what I will post is creating a character for my business. Make it tangible.
  • If your business was a person, what does he/she look like?
  • What are their likes and dislikes?
  • What type of friends do they have?
  • What do they like to talk about?
  • What's their personality like

Getting this going is a great start to coming up with a strategy on your social media presence.

Content creation

I don't work for this company, but I share them every where I go.
Canva.
This is one of the easiest interfaces I've worked with on content creation. Whether it's a flyer to a logo, or an invitation - I mean, it has it all. Good news, there are free features, but if you want to take advantage of it all - there are some in-app purchases.
Canva
This page gives you the flexibility to be a designer without all of that training. Makes you look professional, even when you feel like you're just 'faking till' you make it."

Where do I get ideas?

Even if social media isn't your thing, and specifically, Pinterest...it's a great place to get ideas or a head start.
Pinterest Ideas
When you find a trending topic and can create a blog post related to it, it might be helpful to come up right away. That way you can ride the metrics wave and, hopefully, get more exposure.
